Hy-Vee is hiring a Bakery Clerk in Minnesota. You will support the bakery team by preparing and replenishing products, assisting customers at the bakery counter, and helping to create a warm, welcoming shopping experience.

No prior experience is required; training is provided to help you grow within a friendly, community-focused environment. This position offers an hourly wage and opportunities to learn the bakery operations and customer service skills.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; we will train.
• Must have basic math skills for simple calculations.
• Ability to communicate clearly with customers and teammates.
• Stay organized and keep up with the pace of a bakery environment.
• Less than a high school diploma or equivalent accepted; up to six months of similar or related experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting customers warmly.
• Assist customers with finding products, reaching items, and placing orders at the bakery counter.
• Review daily orders and monitor product freshness, appearance, and supply levels throughout shifts.
• Prepare, finish, and replenish baked goods as needed.
• Follow and maintain proper sanitation procedures, keeping work area clean and organized.
• Check in product, put product away, and review invoices as needed.
• Operate the department register to process payments where applicable.
• Remove trash and maintain a tidy department.
• Work with teammates to ensure a smooth, positive customer experience.
• Maintain compliance with Hy-Vee's dress code, hygiene standards, and policies.
• Assist in other store areas and take on special projects as needed.
