Job summary

El Super #65 in Long Beach, CA is hiring a Bakery Clerk to join the Store Operations Team. Starting rate is $16.90 per hour for this on-site position under the Bakery Manager's supervision.

The role involves assisting customers, stocking and cleaning the bakery, taking special orders, and coordinating with the in-house bakery staff to determine which items to bake or decorate. Physical requirements apply.

Qualifications

• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, shelf tags and memos.
• Write simple correspondence and present information to customers and colleagues.
• Provide friendly, helpful customer service and maintain store standards.
• Capable of lifting up to 60 pounds as part of duties.

Responsibilities

• Deliver courteous customer service in the bakery area.
• Clean, stock and rotate bakery displays and shelves.
• Assist customers with special orders and coordinate with the Baker for items to bake or decorate.
• Help with department cleaning and store cleanliness.
