Job summary

El Super in Wilmington, CA is hiring a Bakery Clerk. Under direct supervision from the Bakery Manager, you will provide friendly customer service, assist with bakery purchases and special orders, and maintain clean, stocked displays both in-store and in the bakery area.

Starting rate is 18.47 per hour. The job requires lifting up to 60 pounds, basic computer skills, and compliance with food handling requirements. This position is part of the El Super banner within the Chedraui USA group.

Qualifications

• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, shelf tags, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Present information clearly in one-on-one or small group settings.
• Follow detailed but straightforward written or oral instructions.
• Lift up to 25 lb, up to 45 lb regularly, and up to 60 lb occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly customer service in the bakery and store.
• Assist customers with bakery purchases and special orders.
• Clean shelves, display cases, and self-serve displays.
• Work with the Baker to determine items to bake or decorate.
• Help with department cleaning and maintain department cleanliness.
