Job summary

El Super bakery in Inglewood, CA is seeking a friendly Bakery Clerk to join the Store Operations Team at El Super #15. You will assist customers with bakery purchases, keep displays clean, and help with special orders under the Bakery Manager.

In this fast-paced environment, you’ll help rotate and stock self-serve displays, work with the Baker on baking or decorating items, and maintain department cleanliness while providing excellent service daily.

Qualifications

• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and employees.
• Apply common sense understanding to follow detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and move up to 25 pounds, frequently up to 45 pounds, and occasionally up to 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service in the bakery and assist customers with purchases.
• Clean shelving and display cases; rotate self-serve displays.
• Take special orders and coordinate with the Baker on items to bake or decorate.
• Help in department cleaning by hosing floors to maintain cleanliness.
• Work in a fast-paced grocery store environment with lifting, standing, and walking.
