Job summary

El Super in Santa Fe Springs, CA is hiring a Bakery Clerk under the Bakery Manager. Starting rate $17.20 per hour. You will assist customers with bakery purchases, keep displays fresh, rotate stock, take special orders, and help with cleaning and setup in a fast-paced grocery environment.

This on-site role requires lifting up to 60 pounds and food handler certification; benefits include a 401(k) retirement plan and continuing education opportunities.

Qualifications

• Food Handler Card or its equivalent certification is required for all positions related to food handling.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions, labels, and memos.
• Basic computer skills and willingness to learn store systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, courteous customer service in the Bakery department.
• Assist customers with bakery purchases, take special orders, and rotate/display items.
• Clean shelving and display cases; collaborate with the Baker on production needs.
• Assist with department cleaning and safety requirements, including lifting tasks.
