Job summary

El Super in Huntington Park, CA is seeking a Bakery Clerk to join the store operations team. Under direct supervision from the Bakery Manager, you will provide customer service, restock and rotate bakery displays, take special orders, and coordinate with the Baker on items to bake or decorate.

Ideal candidates will have basic PC/Outlook skills, a Food Handler Card, and a customer‑first attitude. This is a part‑time opportunity with the potential for growth within the El Super banner.

Qualifications

• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, shelf tags and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group settings.
• Apply common sense to follow detailed written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly customer service in the Bakery department.
• Assist customers with bakery purchases and take special orders.
• Clean, stock, and rotate shelves and display cases in the bakery.
• Work with the Baker to determine items to bake or decorate.
• Assist with department cleaning and safety procedures.
