Job summary

El Super in Lynwood, CA is hiring a Bakery Clerk to join the Store Operations Team. Under supervision from the Bakery Manager, you will assist customers with bakery purchases, maintain clean shelves, and rotate displays to ensure freshness and presentation.

The role requires basic reading and writing skills, good customer service, and the ability to lift items up to 60 pounds. This is an entry-level position with growth opportunities within the El Super banner of the Chedraui USA group.

Qualifications

• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Present information clearly in one-on-one and small group settings to customers and co-workers.
• Follow written or oral instructions with attention to detail.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25, 45, and 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with bakery purchases and provide friendly service.
• Clean shelves and display cases; rotate self-serve displays near bakery.
• Collaborate with the Baker on items to bake or decorate and handle special orders.
