Job summary

El Super in Panorama City, CA is hiring a Bakery Clerk to join the Store Operations team. Under supervision from the Bakery Manager, you’ll provide friendly service, help customers, and support daily bakery tasks.

This role requires physical ability to lift up to 60 pounds, basic PC skills, and a Food Handler Card. The position offers starting rate of $18.47 per hour and opportunities to grow with the El Super family.

Qualifications

• Read and comprehend labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Explain information clearly in one-on-one and small group settings.
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with bakery purchases and maintain clean shelves.
• Clean, fill, and rotate self-serve displays near bakery and front areas.
• Assist with special orders and coordinate with the baker on item needs.
• Support department cleanup to maintain a clean, safe environment.
