Job summary

ShopRite of Brooklawn in Brooklawn, NJ is seeking a Bakery Associate to support the Bakery Manager with dough, icing, packaging and pastry production. You will help maintain a clean, visually appealing department and assist with daily bakery tasks to ensure quality and efficiency.

The role requires handling bread and pastry items, working in varied temperatures, and providing friendly customer service while following company policies and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Stand/walk for duration of shift.
• Regularly lift 25 lbs. and occasionally 50 lbs.
• Work in varying temperatures and with food products.
• Interact with customers in a friendly, helpful way.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, safe bakery area.
• Prepare trays and ingredients according to recipes.
• Assist Bakery Manager in daily operations and tasks.
• Ensure proper signage, rotation and freshness of products.
• Follow safety and sanitation policies and use PPE as required.
• Provide prompt, courteous service to customers.
