Job summary

Responsibilities

• Create an environment where customers feel welcome and appreciated.
• Slice deli meats and cheeses to customer requests.
• Prepare bakery items per customer requests.
• Inform customers of deli/bakery/bistro specials.
• Provide customers with fresh products and correct portion sizes.
• Recommend deli/bakery/bistro items to customers.
• Use equipment in deli/bakery/bistro safely (refrigerators, slicers, ovens, etc.).
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise.
• Report product ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Display a positive attitude.
• Adhere to current ads and promotions.
• Adhere to food safety and temperature log requirements.
• Reinforce safety programs and identify unsafe conditions.
