Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Bakery Clerk to prepare, bake and package all bakery items while delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced store environment.

The role requires 18+ with bakery experience or an equivalent education/experience mix; strong communication, teamwork and flexibility; and the ability to stand and lift during shifts. Daily responsibilities include cleanliness, stock, and assisting the Bakery Manager.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent, with 1–2 years bakery experience or an acceptable education/experience mix.
• Be dependable and reliable with a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Outgoing and friendly demeanor with a positive attitude and ability to interact with customers.
• Good communication skills and ability to take direction in a team environment.
• Able to answer phones and take special orders.
• Perform general housekeeping in the department; sanitize work area and equipment.
• Operate knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, pallet jacks and hand trucks as needed.
• Stand for long periods and lift typical bakery items as required.
• Adhere to safety, health and Weights and Measures regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing and merchandising all baked goods.
• Provide a high level of customer service and ensure items are prepared, packaged, presented and stored cleanly.
• Maintain a clean, safe and sanitary bakery area and equipment; sweep floors and remove spills.
• Stock and price items; ensure proper product rotation and discard outdated items.
• Receive, inspect and log products for shipment, temperature and quality.
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment and contribute to team success.
