Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is hiring a Bakery Clerk to prepare and package all baked goods and assist the Bakery Manager in pricing and merchandising. You'll deliver friendly, high-level customer service in a fast-paced, fresh-food environment.

Responsibilities include maintaining a clean, safe bakery area, stocking and rotating products, receiving shipments, weighing and labeling items, and operating bakery equipment. Applicants should be 18+, have a HS diploma or equivalent, and bakery experience.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old with a High school diploma or equivalent; with 1-2 years Bakery experience; or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
• Be dependable with a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Have an outgoing, friendly demeanor and the ability to interact with customers.
• Strong communication skills and ability to take direction in a team.
• Able to answer phones and take special orders.
• Perform general housekeeping and sanitation in the department; maintain a clean work area.

Responsibilities

• Assist Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising baked goods.
• Provide high level customer service and ensure proper preparation, packaging, and presentation of Bakery items.
• Maintain clean, safe, and sanitary bakery area and equipment; clean shelves and floors.
• Stock, rotate, and price bakery products; discard outdated items.
• Receive, inspect, and log shipments for accuracy and quality.
• Work in a fast-paced environment and communicate effectively with team.
