Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market in Washington state is seeking a Bakery Clerk to prepare, package, and display baked goods while delivering friendly, high-quality customer service in a fast-paced environment.

You’ll assist in daily bakery operations, maintain cleanliness, and ensure accurate pricing and rotation of products, with a focus on safety and sanitation. The role starts with hands-on training and offers growth opportunities within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 with a HS diploma or equivalent and 1–2 years bakery experience.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor with strong customer service skills.
• Good communication and ability to work in a team.
• Able to answer phones and take special orders.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in the department; follow health regulations.
• Stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and package all baked goods under supervision.
• Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising.
• Provide high level of customer service and ensure proper presentation of items.
• Maintain clean, safe bakery area and equipment; sweep and sanitize as needed.
• Stock, rotate, and ensure pricing accuracy; discard outdated items.
• Receive and log shipments for accuracy, temperature, and quality.
• Answer phones and take special orders when required.
