Job summary

Fiesta Mart in Houston is seeking a Bakery Clerk (ages 16-17) to provide friendly service in the bakery department, help customers, restock displays, and assist with special orders in coordination with the Baker.

The position requires reading and writing in Spanish and English, basic PC skills, and the ability to lift up to 60 pounds; a Food Handler Card is preferred to ensure food safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Read and write Spanish/English; interact with the public and co-workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service in the bakery department.
• Assist customers with purchases, clean shelves and display cases, and rotate self‑serve displays.
• Take special orders and coordinate with the Baker on items that need baking or decorating.
• Clean the department by hosing down floors with soap and water.
• Maintain food safety compliance (Food Handler Card required).
