Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Bakery Clerk to prepare, bake, package, and merchandise all bakery items. You’ll deliver a high level of customer service in a fast-paced store, maintaining a clean and safe bakery area and assisting with stock, pricing, and rotations.

You will support the Bakery Manager, handle special orders, and ensure orders are accurately weighed and labeled, while adhering to safety guidelines and food-handling requirements.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ with a HS diploma or equivalent; Bakery experience 1–2 years preferred.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor with customers.
• Good communication and ability to work in a team.
• Ability to answer phones and take special orders.
• Maintain clean, sanitary bakery area and equipment.
• Operate knives, scales, wrappers, and other bakery tools safely.
• Stand for long periods; lift up to 40 lbs; food safety permit required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods.
• Provide high level of customer service; ensure proper presentation and cleanliness of the Bakery area.
• Maintain clean, safe bakery workspace; sweep, sanitize, and organize supplies.
• Stock, rotate, price, and face bakery products; discard outdated items.
• Receive and inspect shipments for accuracy, temperature, and quality.
• Respond to customer needs and handle special orders when requested.
