Job summary

El Super in Lawndale, CA, is seeking a Bakery Clerk to join the Store Operations Team. Under direct supervision from the Bakery Manager, you will assist customers, restock displays, and help with special orders.

This position emphasizes friendly service, food safety, and teamwork in a fast-paced grocery store environment. The starting wage is $16.90 per hour, with opportunities for growth through ongoing training and benefits.

Qualifications

• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, shelf tags, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information to customers and team members.
• Apply common sense to follow written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25, 45, and occasionally 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, courteous service to customers in the bakery area.
• Assist customers with bakery purchases and special orders.
• Restock and rotate bakery displays, and clean shelves and cases.
• Help the Baker determine items to bake or decorate and assist with department cleaning.
