Job summary

El Super in Santa Ana is seeking a Bakery Clerk to support the Bakery department under the Bakery Manager. The position (ages 16-17) starts at $16.90 per hour and offers a fast-paced grocery environment.

You will assist customers with bakery purchases, take special orders, rotate and stock displays, and help determine items to bake or decorate with the Baker. Physical requirements include lifting up to 60 pounds.

Qualifications

• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, shelf tags, and short memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information to customers, clients, and employees.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 60 pounds as part of duties.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service in the Bakery department.
• Assist customers with bakery purchases and take special orders.
• Clean, rotate, and stock bakery displays; keep area tidy.
• Coordinate with the Baker to determine items to bake or decorate.
• Help with department cleaning, including washing floors as needed.
