Hy-Vee’s Bakery Clerk role is located in a store bakery environment. You will greet customers, assist with products, and help maintain the freshness and presentation of baked goods.

You will work with a team to deliver a warm, welcoming experience and ensure clean, organized work areas while following safety and sanitation guidelines. Employment is contingent on a pre-employment screen.

Formación

• Follow written and verbal instructions with confidence.
• Use basic math for simple addition, subtraction, counting, and recording.
• Communicate clearly with customers and teammates in a friendly, helpful way.

Responsabilidades

• Greet customers warmly at the bakery and make them feel welcome.
• Assist customers with finding products, reaching items, and taking orders at the bakery counter.
• Review daily orders and monitor product freshness and supply levels during the shift.
• Prepare, finish, and replenish baked goods; pull products from cooler/freezer for baking.
• Maintain sanitation and keep the workspace clean and organized at all times.
• Check in product, put product away, and review invoices as needed.
• Operate the department register to process payments where applicable.
• Remove trash and maintain a tidy department.
• Work with teammates to ensure a smooth, positive customer experience.
• Follow Hy-Vee dress code, hygiene standards, and all policies.
• Assist in other store areas or special projects as needed.
