Job summary

El Super #19 in Phoenix, AZ seeks a Bakery Clerk to join the Store Operations Team under Bakery Manager supervision. Starting rate is $16.50 per hour and duties include customer service, stocking, cleaning displays, and assisting with bakery orders and decoration planning.

Requirements include ability to lift up to 60 pounds, basic reading/writing, and good communication. Food handler card required for all food-related roles; equal employment opportunity statements apply.

Qualifications

• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, shelf tags, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information to customers and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly customer service in the bakery department.
• Clean shelving and display cases and maintain self-serve displays.
• Assist customers with bakery purchases and special orders.
• Coordinate with the Baker on items to bake or decorate.
• Help with department cleaning and floor maintenance as needed.
