Hy-Vee's Bakery is seeking a Cake Designer to bring customer visions to life from birthdays to weddings. You will decorate cakes, manage daily orders, and lead part-time team members on site in Sioux Falls. Strong decorating skills, eye for detail, and excellent customer service are essential.

You'll work in a fast-paced bakery environment, coordinating with the Bakery Manager and team to uphold quality and on-time delivery while maintaining safety and cleanliness.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Six months or less of similar or related work experience; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers with a smile and take bakery orders.
• Check day’s orders, set up timelines and production schedules.
• Decorate bakery items and stay current on designs and trends.
• Develop daily bakery orders for bakers (cakes and sizes).
• Lead part-time employees and coordinate with the Bakery Manager.
• Ensure sanitation and safety in the work area.
