Job summary

ShopRite of Somerville in Somerville, NJ is seeking a Cake Decorator to support the Bakery Manager in daily operations, including baking, dough mixing, icing, packaging, filling and decorating of designated pastry and bread items. You will maintain a neat, clean, visually appealing department and ensure safety and quality standards.

You will follow recipes, rotate merchandise, manage inventory, assist customers, and work as part of a team in a fast-paced store environment.

Qualifications

• Read, write, speak English fluently.
• Assist Bakery Manager to run daily Bakery operations.
• Stand, bend, twist, reach, push, pull and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Work in varying temperatures and with food products.
• Interact with customers in a friendly, helpful manner.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, organized, and safe work environment.
• Maintain department sanitation and QA standards.
• Prepare trays to customer satisfaction and ensure accurate signage.
• Follow recipes and handle food safely per QA standards.
• Rotate products to ensure freshness and manage inventory weekly.
