Job summary

ShopRite of Englewood in New Jersey is seeking a Cake Decorator to assist the Bakery Manager with baking, dough mixing, icing, packaging, and decorating of designated pastry and bread items.

The role requires maintaining a neat, clean, and visually appealing department while following recipes, safety, and QA standards; providing friendly customer service and performing other duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to assist Bakery Manager.
• Stand, bend, twist, reach, push, pull and regularly lift 25 lbs., occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Work in varying temperatures.
• Handle fresh, dried and/or processed products without allergic reactions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment.
• Maintain department sanitation and QA standards.
• Clean and sanitize all work surfaces, utensils and equipment.
• Rotate products to ensure freshness.
• Prepare items per recipes and ensure proper labeling.
