BAKERY/CAKE DECORATOR (Finance)

Create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service. Establish and maintain a safe and clean environment that encourages customers to return. Assist the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals established for the department and monitor all established quality assurance standards. • Bakery/cake decorating experience
• Ability to handle stressful situations
• Knowledge of basic math
• Effective communication skills

Desired Skills and Responsibilities:

• Second language skills (speaking, reading, and/or writing)
• Create an environment that makes customers feel welcome and valued by answering questions and making suggestions about products
• Gain and maintain knowledge of products to respond to customer inquiries and recommend items
• Offer samples and prepare bakery items, including wedding cakes, using proper equipment
• Decorate bakery items such as cakes, pastries, cupcakes, and cookies
• Label, stock, sign, and inventory merchandise
• Report discrepancies in product ordering/shipping
• Understand store layout to assist customers in locating products
• Maintain awareness of inventory and stock conditions
• Adhere to health, safety, and food safety regulations
• Follow merchandising, customer service, and safety protocols
• Practice safety procedures and report unsafe conditions or activities
• Perform equipment inspections and notify management of repairs
