Panera LLC in Smithfield, NC seeks an Assistant General Manager to lead a beloved bakery-cafe and inspire a high-performing team. You’ll partner with the General Manager to oversee operations, delight guests daily, and drive business growth, including hiring, training, and development at the location.

You’ll guide staffing, ensure quality standards, and model Panera’s Guiding Values while building a culture of warmth, growth, and accountability in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of restaurant management experience
• Strong leadership and people development skills
• Proven ability to drive positive results in a fast-paced environment
• ServSafe certification (or ability to achieve)

Responsibilities

• Support the General Manager by making key decisions and problem solving
• Plan and manage staffing needs, shift scheduling, people development, and succession planning
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training of new team members and motivate the team
• Manage team performance to meet bakery-cafe goals, standards and guest service expectations
• Develop managers on people’s processes and Panera’s Guiding Values & Behaviors
• Foster guest delight through quality food, service, and teamwork
• Build relationships to cultivate long-term, loyal guests
• Ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements
• Maintain a healthy and safe workplace and manage costs and inventory
