Job summary

SpartanNash in Fenton, MI is seeking a Bakery Associate to prepare food, fry, package, display, and stock Bakery products to meet store goals and guest experience. You’ll follow production and merchandising plans to ensure freshness and availability.

The role requires High School Diploma (GED) preferred, one year retail or related experience preferred, good reading/writing comprehension, basic math, and detail orientation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (GED) preferred.
• One year retail or related experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.
• Basic mathematical skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and Produce Bakery Products to Production Planner.
• Package and Label Bakery Products per program plan.
• Merchandise Bakery Products per Flight plan/Merchandising Expectations.
• Stock Backroom with Bakery Products - Rotating and Dating Cases/Buckets.
• Notify the Bakery Manager if products and supplies need to be ordered.
• Work as a team with other departments and Stores to achieve growth.
• Follow PPE and Safety Guidelines and Food Safety and Cleaning Expectations.
• Follow Guest Experience Guidelines.
• May be assigned tasks in other departments based on customer experience need.
