Job summary

SpartanNash in Fenton, Michigan is seeking a Bakery Associate to prepare and produce bakery products, package and label items, and merchandise on the sales floor. You will stock the backroom and coordinate with teammates to meet guest expectations and food safety standards.

You will follow PPE and safety guidelines, rotate and date product cases, and assist in other departments as needed in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (GED) preferred.
• One year of retail or related experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and produce bakery products to production plan.
• Package and label bakery products per program plan.
• Merchandise bakery products per flight plan.
• Stock backroom with bakery products, rotating and dating cases.
• Notify Bakery Manager if products or supplies are needed.
• Work as a team with other departments to drive store growth.
• Follow PPE and safety guidelines.
• Follow food safety and cleaning expectations.
• Ensure guest experience guidelines are followed.
• May be assigned tasks in other departments as needed.
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned.
