Job summary

SpartanNash is seeking a Bakery Associate to bake, fry, decorate, package, display and stock bakery products, contributing to the store’s financial success. You will perform duties including rotating shelves, merchandising, and assisting with product orders as needed.

The role requires a high school diploma (preferred) and up to one year of retail experience; candidates should be detail oriented with basic math and reading comprehension skills. This is a physical role in a typical retail setting.

Qualifications

• One year of retail or related experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Detail oriented and accurate in task execution.

Responsibilities

• Bake and fry according to production schedule (80% of time).
• Price, date, wrap and bag bakery products.
• Fill, rotate and merchandise bakery shelves, cases and displays.
• Notify Bakery Manager for product and supply orders.
• Receive, unload and stock merchandise as needed.
• Follow PPE, safety, food safety and guest experience guidelines.
