Job summary

ShopRite of Stratford is seeking a Baker to assist the Bakery Manager in daily operations, including baking, dough mixing, icing, packaging, and presenting pastries and breads to customers.

You will help maintain a clean, safe, and visually appealing department while ensuring quality and freshness in all products. This role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and excellent customer service in a fast-paced retail bakery.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Ability to stand/walk for whole shift.
• Regularly lift 25 lbs and occasionally 50 lbs.
• Work in varying temperatures.
• Handle fresh, dried and processed foods and ingredients.
• Interact with customers in a friendly, helpful manner.
• Work cooperatively with others and follow schedules.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe bakery area.
• Sanitize all surfaces and equipment per QA standards.
• Provide prompt, courteous service to customers.
• Rotate merchandise to ensure freshness and proper signage.
• Follow recipes and prepare baked goods per department standards.
• Support Bakery Manager in daily operations and tasks.
