Job summary

Hugo's Family Marketplace is seeking a Bakery Clerk to provide excellent customer service while supporting bakery production, packaging, and display of baked goods. This role emphasizes safety, organization, and quality in a fast-paced environment.

No prior bakery experience is required, but a willingness to learn and reliability are valued; benefits include full-time health, dental, vision, 401k, PTO and holiday pay.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• No bakery experience required.
• Willingness to learn baking techniques and store procedures.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation is expected.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service by assisting and engaging with customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Follow proper food handling safety procedures to ensure a safe and hygienic environment.
• Lift and move bakery products and supplies, up to 50 lbs.
• Assist in production of bakery items, including mixing, baking, and setting up for sale.
• Package bakery products efficiently and attractively for customers.
• Maintain cleanliness of bakery equipment, counters, and work areas.
• Decorate and arrange baked goods for display per company standards.
• Collaborate with team to meet production goals and customer demands.
• Show attention to detail and quality control to ensure standards are met.
• Manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting.
• Exhibit stamina by standing, lifting, and bending during shifts.
