Job summary

SusieCakes Bakery is seeking an Assistant General Manager (AGM), a manager-in-training who will inspire, train, and support the guest service team and assist the General Manager with guest service needs across multiple locations.

This role offers exposure to leadership in a busy bakery environment, with a focus on hospitality, operations, and delivering memorable experiences to guests while embracing a flexible schedule and evolving responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Two years of managerial/leadership experience in the luxury, hospitality, food service and/or retail industries.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Exceptional interpersonal and team‑building skills.
• Ability to train, coach, and counsel team members.
• Exposure to financial and operational accountability.
• Ability to work in multiple regional locations.
• Ability to adapt to a flexible schedule according to business needs.
• Must have reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

Education

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business or Hospitality preferred

The Assistant General Manager (AGM) is a manager‑in‑training role. The AGM inspires, trains, and supports the guest service team and assists the General Manager with guest service needs for multiple locations.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Frequent walking, kneeling, bending and reaching overhead
• Able to stand for extended periods of time
• Must be able to lift, move and carry up to 50 pounds
