SusieCakes Bakery in San Jose, CA is seeking an Assistant General Manager in training to inspire, coach, and support the guest service team while assisting the General Manager across multiple locations.

The AGM will help develop objectives, monitor bakery performance metrics, maintain exceptional hospitality, and ensure smooth daily operations. Candidates should have leadership experience in luxury/food service, excellent communication, and a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• Two years of managerial/leadership experience in the luxury, hospitality, food service and/or retail industries.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Exceptional interpersonal and team‑building skills.
• Ability to train, coach, and counsel team members.
• Exposure to financial and operational accountability.
• Ability to work in multiple regional locations.
• Ability to adapt to a flexible schedule according to business needs.
• Must have reliable transportation.

The Assistant General Manager (AGM) is a manager‑in‑training role. The AGM inspires, trains, and supports the guest service team and assists the General Manager with guest service needs for multiple locations.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Frequent walking, kneeling, bending and reaching overhead
• Able to stand for extended periods of time
