Job summary

Levain Bakery is seeking a Baker Team Leader to oversee shifts, supervise bakers, and uphold the high standards of our handcrafted products. You’ll mentor staff, train new hires, and ensure recipes are followed with consistency across stations.

This role emphasizes leadership, kitchen safety, inventory control, and collaboration with management to meet schedules and cater to pre-orders, while maintaining a positive, disciplined bakery culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-2 years of baking experience with supervisory responsibility preferred.
• Open availability: mornings, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Must be able to lift/push 50 pounds and stand for an 8-hour shift.
• Read and write in English; valid DOH certification and regional food handler certifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead with curiosity and compassion, building connections with coworkers.
• Set a positive shift tone and supervise team members for achievement of goals.
• Mentor and coach staff, provide feedback, and support skill development.
• Participate in training of Bakers and new hires using company materials.
• Oversee baking quality, kitchen safety, and adherence to recipes and standards.
• Manage daily pars, inventory, and station assignments as needed.
