Job summary

Safeway is seeking a friendly Baker to produce fresh breads, pastries, cakes, and desserts daily. You will follow established recipes, measure ingredients, mix, shape, and bake, plus decorate specialty items. You'll keep a clean, organized workspace and work closely with teammates to ensure steady production.

You will assist customers with product questions, take special orders, and contribute to a positive in-store bakery experience. This fast-paced environment rewards accuracy and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Prior baking or food production experience preferred.
• Availability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to maintain high quality, safety, and cleanliness in a fast-paced bakery.

Responsibilities

• Prepare breads, pastries, cakes, and desserts using established recipes.
• Measure, mix, shape, and bake products; decorate cakes and desserts.
• Organize, label ingredients, and maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Assist customers with product questions and special orders; provide friendly service.
