Job summary

Safeway in Pullman, WA is seeking a friendly Baker to prepare breads, pastries, cakes, and desserts using established recipes. You’ll measure, mix, shape, bake, and decorate items while maintaining quality and consistency.

You’ll keep a clean, organized workspace, rotate ingredients, and ensure cases are well stocked and visually appealing. Customer service and teamwork are essential; early mornings, weekends, and holidays are required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Prior baking or food production experience preferred.
• Availability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare breads, pastries, cakes and desserts using established recipes.
• Measure, mix, shape, bake and decorate products.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and rotate/label ingredients.
• Keep cases well stocked and visually appealing for customers.
• Assist customers with product questions and special orders.
• Collaborate with bakery team to plan daily production.
