Job summary

Safeway in the United States seeks a dedicated Baker to prepare breads, pastries, and desserts daily, measuring, mixing, shaping, and baking from trusted recipes. You’ll decorate cakes and desserts, keep a clean, safe workspace, and ensure visuals and freshness in every case.

You’ll liaise with the bakery team to plan production, rotate ingredients, and assist customers with questions and special orders. Early shifts, weekends, and holidays are required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Prior baking or food production experience preferred.
• Availability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Bake breads, pastries, cakes and desserts using approved recipes.
• Decorate items such as cakes and specialty desserts.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work area; rotate/label ingredients.
• Assist customers with product questions and special orders.
