Sodexo is seeking a Baker for Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais, IL. This full-time baker will prepare baked goods per recipes, manage the bake shop area, and ensure high-quality pastries for guests.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• 0–1 year of related bakery or pastry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Check daily production schedules and follow Sodexo recipes to prepare a variety of baked items from scratch.
• Accurately weigh and measure ingredients, mix doughs and batters by hand or mixer, shape and bake items.
• Regulate oven temperatures, monitor baking times and ensure products are served at correct temperatures.
• Set up and stock the bake shop area, maintain proper storage, labeling and dating, and keep the area clean.
• Pay attention to detail and accommodate special requests so high-quality items leave the kitchen.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.

Education
