Job description

This is a hands-on bakery position for someone who is comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen, takes pride in consistency and quality, and understands that in a small bakery, everyone pitches in.

What You'll Do

• Mix, portion, shape and prepare doughs and batters
• Operate commercial bakery equipment safely and efficiently
• Follow production schedules and help keep bakery cases and orders stocked
• Maintain consistency in taste, appearance, portioning and quality
• Follow food safety, sanitation and cleanliness standards
• Keep workstations, equipment and production areas clean and organized
• Assist with prep, packaging and other bakery production needs as necessary
• Work collaboratively with the rest of our bakery team during busy production periods and holidays

We're Looking For Someone Who

• Has professional baking, pastry, restaurant or commercial kitchen experience
• Is dependable and arrives ready to work
• Can follow established recipes and processes consistently
• Works efficiently without sacrificing quality
• Is organized and able to manage multiple production tasks
• Understands proper food handling and sanitation practices
• Can work on their feet in a fast-paced bakery environment
• Is comfortable lifting and handling typical bakery ingredients, trays and equipment
• Is willing to jump in wherever the team needs help

Professional bakery experience is strongly preferred.
