Job summary

The Baggage Service Supervisor at PrimeFlight in Jacksonville, FL will lead the baggage service team to ensure efficient operations, handling passenger inquiries, lost luggage claims, and high passenger satisfaction. The role emphasizes training staff, maintaining records, and coordinating with airlines and ground handlers.

We seek candidates with supervisory and customer service experience, willingness to work varied shifts, and the ability to comply with security protocols and regulations.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment.
• Must hold a valid driver's license.
• Communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• 1 Year supervisory experience.
• 2 Years Customer Service experience.
• Ability to access and interpret information in print and electronically, including use of electronic devices (IPads/Tablets, Computers, Mobile Devices).
• Effective communication with colleagues and clients in-person and electronically.
• Pass a background check and drug screen.
• Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, RAIC, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable).
• Airlines are 24/7, so shifts including nights, weekends and holidays are required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the baggage service team to ensure efficient operation.
• Train staff in handling and resolving baggage-related queries.
• Monitor the processing of lost, delayed, and damaged baggage claims.
• Coordinate with airlines and ground handlers for baggage tracking and recovery.
• Implement and uphold high standards of customer service.
• Address and resolve escalated customer concerns and complaints.
• Maintain accurate records and logs of baggage incidents.
• Enforce adherence to airport security and safety protocols.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations of team members.
• Keep abreast of airport and airline baggage policies and procedures.
• Facilitate effective communication within the team and with other departments.
• Prepare operational reports for management.
• Innovate solutions to enhance baggage service efficiency.
• Ensure proper staffing and resource allocation.
• Lead by example in providing exemplary baggage services.
• Exemplify PrimeFlight customer service and safety standards.
• Perform any additional duties as assigned by management.
