Job summary

Vanderlande Logistics is seeking a Baggage Handling Systems Control Room Operator (CRO) for the team located at San Diego International Airport. The role emphasizes monitoring, fault response, and coordinated communications with airline and airport personnel.

Responsibilities include alerting maintenance, logging calls, balancing lines, and managing backup procedures to ensure continuous operations. A $1,000 sign-on bonus is offered and multitasking in a fast-paced environment is expected.

Qualifications

• Technically proficient with computers and able to stay calm under stress.
• Able to identify fault/error messaging.
• Effective in communicating with maintenance and operations teams.
• Willingness to work on-site at airport and adapt to shift needs.
• Must have reliable transportation to/from work.

Responsibilities

• Alert maintenance personnel through radio communication of faults or failures and dispatch them to the appropriate location.
• Maintain BHS Call Logs in an accurate and timely manner.
• Monitor and adjust line balancing.
• Monitor laser array statistics, prepare reports based on BHS statistics.
• Make operational decisions by initiating and coordinating backup/fallback procedures.
• Act as a central communication point for all BHS activities and coordinate with airlines and airport personnel.
