Job summary

Vanderlande is seeking experiencedMechanical and Controls Technicians to support our team at Baltimore/Washington International Airport (BWI). The role focuses on maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and testing baggage handling systems in a fast-paced airport setting.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and strong electro-mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills with knowledge of CMMS, PLCs, and SCADA systems.

Qualifications

• Five (5) or more years of relevant industrial maintenance experience.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required.
• Strong electro-mechanical and electrical troubleshooting capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and testing of the Baggage Handling System and related equipment.
• Provide accurate written reports on safety, operations, and maintenance activities.
• Interpret data and adjust maintenance schedules based on findings and management guidance.
• Update daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance activity schedules.
• Order and manage spare parts inventory to support BHS operations.
• Ensure preventive and predictive maintenance is scheduled, completed, and documented.
• Maintain compliance with all safety requirements and airport regulations.
• Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.

Vanderlande Logistics LLC is seeking experienced Mechanical and Controls Technicians to support our team at Baltimore/Washington International Airport (BWI) in Sr. Technician roles. This position requires advanced technical knowledge and hands-on experience maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and testing baggage handling systems and their associated components in a fast-paced airport environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and testing of the Baggage Handling System (BHS) and associated equipment.
• Provide accurate and timely written reports related to safety, operational, and maintenance activities.
• Interpret equipment and operational data and recommend maintenance schedule or activity adjustments to management.
• Update and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance activity schedules.
• Order and maintain an inventory of spare parts necessary for effective BHS operation.
• Ensure all Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Predictive Maintenance (PdM) procedures are scheduled, completed, and documented.
• Maintain compliance with all company, airport, and regulatory safety requirements.
• Assist in identifying opportunities to improve equipment reliability and operational efficiency.

Required Skills & Education

Experience & Education

• Five (5) or more years of relevant industrial maintenance experience
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required

• Strong electro-mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills
• Mechanical troubleshooting experience including:

• Basic supervisory and leadership skills involving scheduling, organization, communication, and computer systems

• Ability to pass all airport-required background checks, security screenings, and TSA-related clearances
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and not require current or future sponsorship for employment
