Job summary

Vanderlande Logistics LLC seeks a Site Manager to lead the Baggage Handling System (BHS) operations and maintenance in San Diego, CA. You will serve as the primary contact for airport and airline partners and drive safety, quality, and KPI performance.

The role requires 3+ years in maintenance management, strong communication, and experience with industrial systems. You will manage budget, personnel, and site policies while ensuring optimal service delivery and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Technical Degree or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of maintenance management and managing employees.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with PLC software (a plus).
• Experience in industrial, commercial construction, or material handling/conveyor systems.
• Experience coordinating HR functions including recruiting, hiring, training, appraisals, and recognition.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Proven track record of problem-solving and entrepreneurial mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct the team to complete all maintenance activities.
• Manage Site P&L to achieve budgeted cost and margin goals.
• Participate in meetings with customers and agents to review performance.
• Ensure documentation for safety, work orders, PMs/CMs, inventory, and labor hours.
• Mentor and train maintenance personnel for continuous improvement.
• Plan resources to ensure cost-effective maintenance execution.
• Coordinate and collaborate with other departments to meet customer goals.
• Ensure a safe work environment and enforce safety plans.
