PopUp Bagels Thompson St. in New York is seeking a Bagel Sous to support our Shop Leaders in a scratch-based kitchen. You will master every bagel station by executing recipes consistently and training teammates while leading pre-shifts and shift coverage.

This hourly role offers growth in a team environment, with competitive pay of $20-30/hour (including tips if applicable), and flexible scheduling for part-time or full-time hours. PTO and a staff meal are provided.

• Demonstrate correct culinary standards, warm hospitality, and a great attitude.
• Train fellow teammates on each station, seasonal recipes, kitchen standards, and procedures.
• Manage prep lists, waste logs, and food inventory with the Bagel Chef.
• Delegate work and follow scheduled deployment and breaks.
• Open and close the restaurant using checklists and thorough communication.
• Lead pre-shifts and contribute to the Chef’s agenda.
• Ensure that food presentation and order accuracy are met for all orders.
• Create solutions regarding guest concerns, digital ordering, and equipment maintenance.
• Maintain DoH standards and food safety practices.
