Job summary

PopUp Bagels in New York is seeking a Bagel Sous to support our Shop Leaders in a scratch-based kitchen. You will master every Bagel station, train teammates, and help with pre-shifts, shift management, and inventory while upholding high culinary and hospitality standards.

This hourly role offers growth opportunities, competitive pay of $20–$24 per hour plus tips, flexible scheduling, paid time off, and daily free bagels and schmear as part of a collaborative team focused on quality and guest

Qualifications

• 1+ year of leadership experience in a restaurant/hospitality environment.
• Food Safety Certification.
• Desire to create exceptional employee & guest experiences.
• Eye for detail and problem solving.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate correct culinary standards and hospitality.
• Train teammates on stations, recipes, and standards.
• Assist in prep lists, waste logs, and inventory.
• Delegate tasks and manage deployment/breaks.
• Open/close the restaurant using checklists and communication.
• Lead pre-shifts and support Chef’s agenda.
• Ensure accurate food presentation and order accuracy.
