PopUp Bagels is seeking a Bagel Bouncer & Baker to join our scratch-based kitchen in Portland, ME. You will gain exposure to multiple stations, discuss menu offerings with guests, and help craft memorable, delicious bagels for every guest.

We value teamwork, speed, and attention to health standards; you will pitch in wherever needed in a fast-paced environment. No experience is required, and we welcome growth-minded individuals eager to advance in our restaurants.

Qualifications

• No experience is necessary.
• A desire to create exceptional employee & guest experiences.
• An eye for detail and solving challenges.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• The willingness to roll up your sleeves and pitch in wherever necessary.
• A desire for growth in our restaurants.
• The ability to perform the physical requirements of the position (frequently lifting up to 25 pounds and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds).

Responsibilities

• Gain exposure to different stations within the Bagel shop(s).
• Speak to current menu offerings, seasonality, and ingredients with guests - making their day special as you provide them with a delicious scratch-made bagel.
• Work to support the team during peak and off-peak service by pitching in wherever and whenever necessary.
• Multi-task and move in the kitchen for extended periods of time.
• These physical requirements may be accomplished with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Help to maintain a minimum standard “A” letter grade by following the Department of Health and PopUp Bagels food safety standards.
• Demonstrate professional maturity and strictly uphold PopUp Bagel’s anti-discrimination & anti-harassment policies.
