Job summary

P.F. Chang’s in Fairfax, VA is hiring a Backwaiter to support restaurant operations by delivering food to guests promptly and courteously, assist with dining room cleanliness, and maintain service stations. All team members provide excellent customer service to ensure guest experiences.

No prior experience required—training is provided. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and capable of standing, bending, lifting up to 30 lbs., and obtaining a Food Handler’s Card where applicable.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; training provided.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Possess or obtain a current Food Handler’s Card, where applicable.
• Ability to stand, reach, bend, balance, and lift up to 30 lbs. repeatedly during a shift.
• Strong multitasking skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to stay calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food to guests efficiently and meet requests.
• Monitor expo line, run trays for dine-in, assist guests with questions.
• Clear and sanitize tables, seating, and floors per standards.
• Retrieve and transport dirty dishes to the dishwashing station.
• Restock and clean service stations as needed.
• Operate kitchen equipment (coffee machines, iced tea machines, POS).
• Interact courteously with guests and notify managers of concerns.
• Follow company policies, dress code, and safety procedures.
• Assist with greeting, seating, answering phones, and packaging takeout when needed.
• Support beverage preparation and responsible alcohol service as required.
