Job summary

PF Changs China Bistro in Albany, NY is hiring Backwaiters to support dining room operations. The Backwaiter delivers food promptly, helps with dining room cleanliness, and maintains service stations to ensure guests have an exceptional experience.

The role requires no prior experience (training provided), being at least 18, and a valid Food Handler's Card where applicable. You will work in a fast-paced team environment with opportunities to grow within the company.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; training provided.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Possess or obtain a current Food Handler's Card, where applicable.
• Ability to stand, reach, bend, balance, and lift objects up to 30 lbs repeatedly during a shift.
• Strong multitasking skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to remain calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food to guests efficiently and meet requests.
• Monitor expo line, run trays for dine-in, assist guests with questions.
• Clear and sanitize tables, seating, and floors.
• Retrieve and transport dirty dishes to the dishwashing station.
• Restock and clean service stations as needed.
• Operate kitchen equipment (coffee, iced tea machines, POS).
• Interact courteously with guests and report quality or service concerns.
• Follow company policies, dress code, and safety procedures.
• Assist with greeting, seating guests, answering phones, and packaging takeout orders.
• Support beverage preparation and responsible alcohol service when required.
