Job summary

The TJX Companies, Inc. HomeGoods in Melville, NY is seeking a Receiving/Merchandising Associate to help execute receiving and merchandising standards, support a clean and organized store, and provide excellent customer service.

You will train and mentor associates, tag merchandise, and assist with back stock management to ensure smooth store operations. Able to work nights/weekends with a team-focused attitude and strong organizational skills.

Qualifications

• 1 year retail and 6 months of leadership experience.
• Flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
• Superior communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Capable of multi-tasking.
• Capable of lifting heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Able to train others.

Responsibilities

• Execute receiving and merchandising standards, ensuring efficient processing.
• Engage customers and maintain a clean, organized store.
• Train and mentor associates on merchandising principles.
• Code and tag merchandise accurately and manage back stock.
• Communicate with management to ensure flow of goods to the sales floor.
• Support store safety, policies, and labor compliance.
