Job summary

BPR Consulting Group seeks a Building Permit Processing Specialist for a short-term assignment to support backlog of permit applications. You will review, process, organize, and move permits through the process, coordinating with staff and client representatives to maintain timely progress.

The role emphasizes accuracy, independence, strong communication, and customer service as you help clear approximately 150 applications and help position for future project-based opportunities with BPR

Qualifications

Knowledge of building permit processes and permit center operations.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Excellent attention to detail and organization; ability to manage multiple applications.

Responsibilities

Review and process building permit applications efficiently and accurately.
Check applications for completeness and missing information.
Help organize and process a backlog of permit applications.
Review submittals for compliance with requirements.
Communicate with contractors, architects, engineers, owners, and applicants regarding requirements.
Coordinate with staff and other reviewing agencies to move applications forward.
Enter and maintain permit data in permitting systems.
Track applications and outstanding items to ensure timely processing.
Assist applicants by phone, email, or in person as assigned.
Maintain organized records related to permit applications.
