Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, public administration, or related field preferred.
• 1+ years experience in development engineering, municipal engineering, permitting, or related field preferred.
• Strong interest in civil engineering, development engineering, permitting, and construction processes.
• Familiarity with California development practices and public works procedures is a plus.
• Ability to read civil plans and construction documents; proficient in MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Prepare construction permit documentation, including bond forms and cost/schedule estimates.
• Process grading and encroachment permits and maintain permit status records.
• Coordinate permit routing with engineering staff and Building Department.
• Coordinate project closeout activities and prepare documentation for Notices of Completion.
• Prepare development information sheets and track submittals and task orders.
• Organize project files, maintain document quality, and support standards updates.
• Coordinate with engineers, inspectors, contractors, developers, and city staff.
