Job description

NETS is seeking Level 2, 3, and 4 Background Investigators to work with CACI and our IC customers to ensure the trustworthiness and integrity of the United States Government's workforce by delivering high-quality National Security Background Investigations.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct face-to-face interviews with subjects, employers, associates, references, and other knowledgeable individuals, and review records to gather facts to resolve issues or establish the background, reputation, character, suitability, or qualifications of the subject.
2. Review records to obtain facts necessary for case resolution or to establish the suitability or qualifications of the subject.
3. Document all information and submit detailed investigation reports within the required timelines.
4. Perform investigations efficiently and accurately to meet quality, timeliness, and production standards.
5. Maintain a commitment to the program mission supporting national security initiatives.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s Degree and 1-2 years of experience supporting background investigations.
2. Valid driver’s license, reliable personal vehicle, and willingness to travel locally as needed.
3. Home office with high-speed internet, cell phone; government-provided laptop.
4. Excellent written and oral communication skills, including detailed report writing.
5. Completion of the National Training Standards course.
6. Opportunities available for multiple levels based on qualifications.
